ShopWell Labs offers a nutrition-driven personalized food discovery platform that grades food based on an individual’s age, gender, dietary goals and allergies. The company uses a patented algorithm developed by Registered Dietitians to analyze ingredient, nutrition, location and popularity data for over 300,000 UPCs and recommend alternatives for shoppers. Its technology, data and analytical tools help food retailers and manufacturers understand and respond to shopper behavior and run personalization and engagement programs to drive loyalty and wellness. ShopWell has been used in more than 137,000 stores. The company is led by CEO Dr. Elliott Grant. ShopWell recently closed a $3.4M financing, bringing total funding to $11.4M to date, and plans to use the funds to increase investment in partnerships with retailers, food manufacturers and other members of the food system.
