Shortgun Games is developing a console-grade, story-driven cinematic third-person shooter intended for global competitive play. The studio is co-founded by developers of Rogue Heist, including Vidhit Mehta and Jeet Chandan, and includes former Rogue Heist developers such as Ashish Beuria and Neha Hooda. Shortgun is collaborating with Bollywood action director Vicky Arora to lead action design and choreography, and operates largely out of India (Mumbai) with over 25% of its development talent based internationally. The team follows a player-first philosophy focused on high-impact design and immersive storytelling. The newly raised capital will fund pre-production, strategic hires, and the development of a polished 5–8 minute vertical slice MVP showcasing mechanics, narrative, and visual direction. The studio plans to raise an additional $5 million in the next round to move from vertical slice to full-scale production and pursue a global publishing push.
