Showmac Tech builds embedded SIM (eSIM) hardware and connection-management software for IoT devices, including eSIM cards for IoT devices, an eSIM communication module and gateway, and connection-management SaaS. Its eSIM is integrated onto device chips and, according to the founder, functions to chipmakers like an SDK. The company began as a pilot supplier to Xiaomi’s ecosystem and now powers more than 10 million devices, roughly 30% of which are affiliated with Xiaomi. Showmac has a staff of about 40–50 employees across Beijing and Shenzhen and is currently focused on the Chinese market with plans for overseas expansion. The founder, Lily Liu, said 5G will drive more IoT devices needing cross-carrier and cross-region capabilities. The company will spend the newly raised capital on mass-producing integrated eSIM modules, R&D, and business development.
