Sibblingz's core product is Spaceport, a cloud-based game-creation platform that lets developers write a game once in JavaScript and deploy it across Facebook, iOS and Android with a hybrid HTML5–native app experience. Spaceport provides a canvas-rendering engine for iOS and Android and can also produce native iOS apps, allowing fast performance and native-like behavior. Developers can update game JavaScript in a single HTML page and see immediate updates across all devices. The platform includes monetization tools for free-to-play games via virtual goods. Sibblingz says it is profitable and already makes "millions of dollars a year" in revenue from share fees from games using its technology. The company plans to use the funding to ramp up Spaceport as more developers adopt the engine; Spaceport will reveal Facebook gaming partners (including CrowdStar) and be made generally available to Facebook and mobile developers in the coming month.
