Sibstar provides a pre-loaded debit card and companion mobile app designed to help people living with dementia and their families manage spending safely. The card’s functionality can be instantly switched on and off, offering a flexible solution that adapts as customer needs change. Founder Jayne Sibley developed the idea while caring for both her parents with dementia and launched the service in March 2023. Sibley, a Southampton-based entrepreneur with no prior professional experience in financial services, has already secured early traction and public visibility through a BBC Dragons’ Den appearance. The product is positioned to serve an underserved market and aims to make financial services more accessible for families affected by cognitive decline.
