Sidai operates a last-mile delivery model that dispatches trained riders on motorbikes carrying veterinary products, diagnostics and technical support to remote livestock and crop farms, coordinated through its in-house MioApp. The company also runs the Sidai Academy for online training, offers 30 veterinary internships annually, and has trained 700 poultry professionals through partner courses. Sidai’s network includes 11 stores, 87 franchisees, and distribution through roughly 1,500 stockists; it directly employs over 120 people and reaches more than 300,000 farmers. It partners with research and tech groups — including Biotangents, EIO Diagnostics, Global Good and the Michigan Biotechnology Institute — to pilot diagnostics, milk-container distribution and feed trials. Sidai emphasizes hands-on extension work rather than drones, citing cargo capacity and regulatory limits, and uses primarily low-cost Bajaj and sometimes Yamaha motorbikes. Management has stated plans to achieve near-national distribution by 2020 and to explore expansion outside Kenya.
