Siddhi Vinayak Agri Processing (SV Agri) is an integrated potato supply-chain player providing a range of pre- and post-harvest solutions to potato farmers and processors. Founded in 2009 by Hemant Gaur and Ganesh Pawar, the company works directly with over 3,000 farmers and the founders have over 35 years of combined experience in the potato value chain. SV Agri produces its own brand of high-quality potato seeds, develops potato processing equipment, and operates procurement and engineering verticals alongside a technology platform. The company plans to use fresh capital to expand procurement operations, scale seed and tuber production, strengthen its engineering vertical, invest in team building, and bolster its technology platform. SV Agri aims to expand its presence in potato seeds/tuber markets and processing equipment and to create innovative products that go beyond chips. Its prior financing includes a Series A in 2011 from SONG (backed by Soros Economic Development Fund, Omidyar Network and Google).
