Siftery operates a searchable database of company software stacks that helps buyers discover and choose services by comparing similar companies and surfacing differences. The product provides both active selection and passive discovery, recommending tools that peers are using. Founders Vamshi Mokshagundam and Ayan Barua built the company to address vendor sprawl and selection paralysis; Mokshagundam cited a prior company that used more than 60 services across 15 people as impetus. Siftery can negotiate discounts with vendors and serve those discounts back to members, which the founders see as a revenue pathway. Larger companies are using Siftery to track which teams and employees are signing up for services as organizations sprawl.
