Overview

SightCall provides an AR-powered visual assistance service that overlays pointers, information and tools on live video streams, and integrates with customer-service software such as Microsoft, SAP, Salesforce and ServiceNow. The product is built to run on basic smartphones and over limited mobile networks via a hybrid architecture of data centers interconnected with Tier 1 carriers, offering multiple streaming modes and a global roaming mechanism. Its customers span insurance, telecoms, transportation, telehealth, manufacturing, utilities and medical devices, and the company counts about 200 enterprise customers including Kraft‑Heinz, Allianz, GE Healthcare and Lincoln Motor Company. SightCall reported 100% year-over-year growth in annual recurring revenue in 2019 and 2020 and said it was on track to hit that rate again, targeting $100 million in ARR. The company plans to use the new funding to invest in its technology stack with more AI tools and to expand its client base. SightCall has raised $67 million to date. SightCall offers a global Software-as-a-Service platform that leverages WebRTC to enable live visual communications. Its product includes business applications as well as APIs and SDKs so enterprises can configure visual support experiences without bespoke software development. The company positions its solution to complement customers' existing tools, environments and processes to solve service problems. Service providers such as Tata Communications, Capgemini and Salesforce are partnering with SightCall to bring visual interactions to market. Led by founder and CEO Thomas Cottereau, the company intends to use new funds to grow sales and marketing efforts. The article reports a $8.4M funding round to support those plans.
