Overview
Signadot is a Kubernetes-based platform that gives developers production-like sandbox environments to test microservice-based applications. Its sandboxes can be spun up and down in seconds for every pull request or commit, enabling much faster feedback loops without impacting other developers in a shared staging environment. The platform lets teams run integration tests against real services in isolated environments and aims to make production-like environments accessible to developers. Signadot charges customers a subscription fee based on the number of sandboxes they create each month. The company worked with several very large customers during a private alpha to ensure the service can scale and has announced a public beta. The company was founded by Arjun Iyer (CEO), who previously built AppDynamics’ data science platform, and Anirudh Ramanathan (CTO), who was previously a software engineer at Google working on Kubernetes. Signadot has raised a $4 million seed round and plans to use the funding to build out its team and expand the platform.
