Signal Advisors builds an end-to-end software platform for independent financial advisors, initially focused on those selling annuities and life insurance. The product lets advisors bypass traditional distributors, simplifies annuity sales, tracks commissions in real time and advances payout ahead of carrier payments. The company was founded after CEO Patrick Kelly’s career as a financial advisor and is Detroit-based. Signal says annuities were the starting point because advisors lack good technology today, and the team plans to expand the platform to cover a broader set of advisor needs. Financially, Signal announced a $10 million Series A and previously raised a $6 million seed in 2020.
