Silk Road Medical develops and manufactures less-invasive medical devices for treating carotid artery disease, led by CEO Erica Rogers. Its core products are the ENROUTE Neuroprotection System (NPS) and the ENROUTE Transcarotid Stent, which together support TransCarotid Artery Revascularization (TCAR) procedures. The ENROUTE NPS enables direct access to the common carotid artery and initiates high-rate temporary blood flow reversal to protect the brain during stent delivery. The ENROUTE NPS and Stent are the only two devices in the U.S. that are FDA cleared, approved and indicated for transcarotid procedures. To date, more than 2,000 TCAR procedures have been performed worldwide. The company says it will use the recent $47M financing to support commercial growth of the ENROUTE product family. The company is led by Chief Executive Officer Erica Rogers.
