Overview
Silkhaus is a Dubai-headquartered proptech startup building a technology platform to manage short-term rental properties for individual retail owners and institutional landlords. It offers end-to-end property management covering operations, distribution, and guest experience from booking to check-out. The company says property owners on Silkhaus earn 20–40% more than with traditional rental models. Since its 2021 founding, Silkhaus reports 120% growth over the past 12 months and has hosted visitors from over 120 nations. To support expansion across the GCC and Asia, Silkhaus secured a multi-million-dollar Pre-series A financing from Partners for Growth and access to a second multi-million-dollar credit line. The company previously raised $7.75 million from international investors in 2022 during a large GCC seed round. Silkhaus provides an operating system for short-term rental owners that handles distribution, pricing, revenue management and digital operations, and offers a marketplace for third-party vendors. The company takes rental units from asset owners and lists them across roughly 60 distribution channels, including Airbnb. Silkhaus says it increases average revenue yield for property owners by 20–40% and claims it is in the top 3% of operators in Dubai by units under management. The startup has a roughly 20-person team with engineering split between Dubai and Bangalore and hires from firms like Microsoft, Airbnb, Careem and Deliveroo. Silkhaus reports revenue growth of over 10x in the past 12 months and aims to reach the top 1% of operators in Dubai within two months. It plans expansion across South Asia, Southeast Asia and the MENA region to capture an estimated market opportunity that could grow from $13 billion to $18 billion over the next four years.
