Overview
Silver Curve is a London-based provider of digital signage software and consultancy established by Bryan Crotaz in 2010. The company provides consultancy services and integration expertise for large and small projects in the digital media industry. It developed Aperture, a solution that enables commercial signage software packages to run on a low-cost Raspberry Pi-based computer with performance comparable to a PC. Aperture is intended to reduce the hardware cost of signage screens used in retailers, advertising hoardings, airports and offices. Behind each screen there is typically a PC running commercial signage software; Aperture replaces that PC with a small, low-cost device. Financially, Silver Curve raised £200k in equity crowdfunding on Seedrs, where 233 backers took a 20% stake in the company.
