Silverback Ventures is an early-stage consumer fintech startup that Nash and Crosa say will use software to help bring purpose to how people approach their financial lives. The founders have disclosed few product details publicly and say they will share more closer to launch. Adam Nash, a longtime operator and investor, co-founded the company with Alejandro Crosa, an Argentinian engineer who previously worked at Slack, Twitter and LinkedIn. Nash’s background includes senior product roles at LinkedIn and Dropbox and a former CEO role at Wealthfront, making a consumer fintech focus unsurprising. An SEC filing indicates the company has raised $4.85 million so far in initial funding. Named investors include Ribbit Capital and several "friends and angels," among them Aaron Levie, Gina Bianchini, Rahul Vohra and Amy Chang.
