Silvergate Pharmaceuticals is an under-the-radar company focused on reformulating adult pharmaceuticals for the pediatric market. According to a BioOhio directory entry, its products are intended to eliminate the need for hospital pharmacies and formularies to reformulate adult drugs into doses and concentrations acceptable for children. The company is based in Dublin, Ohio and has no public website; BioOhio says it has never met or spoken with Silvergate representatives. A regulatory filing shows Silvergate raised $3 million in a financing from two investors. That financing consisted of equity along with options and warrants. The CEO, Frank Segrave, did not respond to requests for comment.
