Simpl is a Bangalore-based, six-year-old fintech that offers buy now, pay later checkout solutions and a full-stack merchant platform. Its product suite includes one-time checkout, Bill Box for automating recurring expense payouts, and a feature to split a bill in three parts. The company uses its own underwriting technology to determine which customers can access its services and to enable dispute and refund mechanisms. Simpl partners with over 7,000 brands, including Jio Platforms, Zomato, 1MG, BigBasket and MakeMyTrip, and says monthly active merchants and active user base have grown 10x in the past 18 months. The startup plans to improve consumer and merchant experience, expand into offline neighborhood stores and build a loyalty program. To date it has raised $83 million.
