Simppler provides a recommendation engine that helps companies source hires via employee referrals by parsing contacts, social networks, and public profiles. Founded by Eventbrite’s former engineering director Vipul Sharma and Shikhar Mishra and launched in 2014, the product lets employees import contacts and then surface candidate suggestions with yes/no feedback to refine recommendations. Customers named in the article include Auction, MobileIron, Tilt, Reddit, Change.org, and Box; since launch at least 11 companies have signed up.
