Singulart is a Paris-based online art sales platform founded in 2017 that connects collectors with artists across 80 countries. Its catalogue includes more than 45,000 paintings and photographs from 2,200 artists of 80 nationalities. The marketplace aims to make it easier for nationally recognised painters and photographers to sell their work globally and competes with platforms such as Saatchi Art and Rise Art. Singulart will use the new funding to accelerate international expansion, strengthen its workforce, incorporate sculpture into its collection, and begin developing its brand outside digital channels. The online art market has grown from €3.7 billion in 2017 to over €4.4 billion today, with platforms increasingly discovering artists via Instagram according to Hiscox. The company previously raised €1.1 million in 2017 when it launched.
