Sitedesk offers a cloud-based collaborative SaaS platform for the built environment that provides 3D visualisation and management of digital building information. The software enables building and project owners, construction contractors and sub-contractors to import, manage and interact with digital construction data and documentation linked to 3D models. Users can navigate rich 3D displays, search models, attach and organise project documents, data sheets and specifications, images and videos, and create digital forms and task assignments. At completion the platform supports handover of digital project information for ongoing operation and maintenance (O&M). Led by Chairman Michael McCullen, the company intends to use the funds for business growth. The company secured equity funding of an undisclosed amount in which Greater Manchester Combined Authority took a 10% stake. Sitedesk Limited develops an on-site BIM collaboration tool called Sitedesk Dabit. The tool allows designers and contractors to collaborate using tablets and other mobile devices and to have synchronized access to the 3D model without the need for high-end workstations. The company was founded by Paul Grady and Danny Doohan and is led operationally by CTO Chris Sewart and chairman Craig Slater. Sitedesk is based in Cheadle, Greater Manchester, UK. The company recently raised £435K in funding. The investment involved the North West Fund for Digital & Creative (managed by AXM Venture Capital) alongside founders and other backers including chairman Craig Slater.
