Sixgill builds universal sensor data and automation services that help enterprises govern their IoE assets. Its flagship product, Sixgill Sense, ingests data from any sensor or gateway, pinpoints relevant intersections in noisy streams, and triggers automated, real-time responses. The platform supports IoT, IIoT and broader IoE use cases, giving developers a single environment for sensor data management, process automation and analytics without limits on data sources or scale. Sense is already deployed widely, powering applications on more than 50 million devices through a major U.S. carrier and supporting crowd-management and audience-communication solutions at large events in the U.S. and Europe. The company recently evolved from a proximity-services provider to an enterprise-grade sensor data management suite. With its Series B financing, CEO Phil Ressler plans to expand the team, grow the business, and broaden the platform’s capabilities to capture rising demand as inexpensive sensors proliferate across industries. Beyond the $27.9 million Series B, no additional revenue or prior funding figures were disclosed.
