Skillenza, launched in 2014 and based in Bengaluru, operates a SaaS-enabled marketplace and assessment engine that lets individuals solve real-life challenges to showcase verified skills. The platform runs online challenges, pre-tested recruitment drives and hackathons to help enterprises discover relevant talent and individuals build profiles. It targets verification and credentialing of software engineers, data scientists and final-year undergraduates, and is building a global repository of verified, ranked profiles. Skillenza plans to create new assessment modules for software engineers and expand into tier-2 and tier-3 Indian cities. The company reports 500,000 registered users who participate in challenges and get verified, and serves more than 40 clients including Zivame, Ola and Simplilearn. The current strategic focus is product enhancement and geographic expansion to accelerate employer adoption and talent credentialing.
