Skitude operates a network of mobile apps for ski and mountain fans, offering real-time information about the state of more than 2,500 ski areas and tools for users to record, measure and compare their performance. The company works directly with more than 50 ski and mountain resorts across eight countries and partners with outdoor brands including Snowinn, Atomic and Elan. Since 2014 the apps have been downloaded over 650,000 times in 24 countries, and accumulated revenue and signed contracts exceed €850k. Skitude is led by co-founder and CEO Marc Bigas and is based in Girona, Spain. The company plans to use the new funding to expand in North America and Europe—targeting the United States, Canada, the Alps, Scandinavia and Eastern Europe—and to diversify its platform to include running, biking and other outdoor activities.
