Skleo Health operates a network of quick, six-minute eye screenings offered at everyday locations and analysed through a two-step process: CE-certified AI followed by validation from a specialist eye doctor. The service is designed to make preventive ophthalmic care accessible at scale and to help clinicians prioritise treatment while reducing pressure on healthcare systems. Since founding in March 2024, Skleo has expanded to Germany's 50 largest cities, screened over 11,000 people and identified more than 3,000 medically relevant findings. The startup is supported by key opinion leaders from Charité University Clinic Berlin, UCL London and Yale University, and the founding team emerged from an Antler founder residency. Skleo plans to expand its partner network to reach a capacity of 30,000 screenings per month and to build an open, nationwide platform connecting patients with specialist eye doctors. Part of the recent funding will also be used to further develop its proprietary AI diagnostic technology.
