Skyrockit builds mobile entertainment applications and services for carriers, handset manufacturers, media companies, and brands. Its products include a virtual Zippo Lighter for the iPhone and ROMPLR, a music remix platform for iOS and Nokia with over 1.1 million users in more than 95 countries. The company says it has generated over $300 million in revenue for its partners and that users have consumed more than 100 million pieces of its content. Skyrockit plans to use the $2.6 million in new funding to boost existing entertainment products and services and to develop new applications. The company works with carriers including AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile. Skyrockit was renamed from Moderati (previously Faith West) in 2009 and is based in San Francisco.
