Skyrora is an Edinburgh-based launch vehicle provider developing the Skyrora XL, a 23-meter, 56-tonne three-stage rocket capable of carrying up to 315 kg to orbit, and a Space Tug for debris removal. The company has completed four successful launches, has two more ready to go, and has demonstrated static fire tests of its orbital third stage. Skyrora aims to deliver sovereign European orbital launch capability and to be the first to launch from Europe. It received €3 million of co-funding from the European Space Agency under the Boost! programme to complete the technology required for consistent orbital launches from within the UK.
