Slate Medicines
Raleigh, NC, United States
Overview
Slate Medicines is advancing a pipeline of migraine antibody therapeutics designed to go beyond existing CGRP-targeted treatments. Its lead candidate, SLTE-1009 (licensed from DartsBio Pharmaceuticals), is a monoclonal antibody that targets both PACAP and VIP, and the company’s second program, SLTE-2100, is a bispecific antibody combining CGRP and PACAP/VIP blockade. Slate plans to report Phase I safety and PK data for SLTE-1009 in mid-2027 and to start a Phase II migraine study in the second half of 2027. The company positions its dual-targeting approach as potentially offering greater efficacy versus PACAP-only therapies in a market where CGRP-targeted products generated roughly $5 billion in 2025 sales. Slate recently secured a $245 million financing via a reverse merger and private placement and had raised $130 million in a Series A earlier the same year, giving it runway into 2029.
