Sliced Investing operates a cloud-based platform that provides accredited investors access to pre-vetted hedge funds that have historically been unavailable to the public. Led by Mike Furlong and Akhil Lodha, the platform offers analytics, research and social interaction features to support investor decision-making. The company closed a $2 million seed financing round. Backers included Khosla Ventures, Triple Point Capital, Data Collective, angel investor Ash Fontana and Y Combinator. Sliced says it will use the funds to launch new hedge fund products and grow its user base.
