128 Rue La Boetie, Paris, Île-de-France, 75008, France

Overview

Slite builds a collaborative internal notes and knowledge-base product that lets teams collect and organize documentation, create shared documents, and build company handbooks. Documents can contain text, tasks, tables and links, and can be organized by channels to manage permissions and create wiki-like experiences. The product supports real-time multi-user editing, mentions, version history, templates, and centralized search across documents and channels. Slite aims to be as simple to use as Google Docs but as powerful as Confluence, targeting companies with hundreds or thousands of employees. The startup has attracted 4,000 companies, including Airbnb, Spotify and WeTransfer. Prior to this round the company had raised $4 million, and it has now closed an $11 million Series A led by Spark Capital. Slite offers a dead-simple internal notes tool intended to replace sprawling Google Docs or Dropbox Paper wikis by giving teams a centralized hub for onboarding manuals, contact lists and other internal information. The product tracks permissions and changes to notes to help companies maintain documentation rather than sharing links and fragmenting edits. Slite positions itself as a place employees can either create key information or find it immediately, aiming to reduce questions in Slack about policies or buried documentation. The startup says it already has more than 300 active teams using the product. Slite plans to develop the product further to show it can replace large amounts of existing tools and to make the service scale. The company raised $4.4M in a seed round to support that development.
