smartBeemo is a Miami-based eCommerce education platform that builds learning tools and courses to help Hispanic-American and Latin American users launch eCommerce businesses. Courses, which start at around $599, teach selling on marketplaces such as Amazon, Walmart, and Mercado Libre. The company reports more than 100,000 students have joined its courses, and that roughly two-thirds of students expect to derive most of their income from an eCommerce business after completing programs. smartBeemo positions its product as addressing a digital and language gap to enable financial freedom across Latin communities and says it has a presence in more than 10 Latin American countries. Management plans to further develop the platform, expand throughout Latin America, and open an office in China as part of a 2024 expansion strategy. CEO Michel Edery says the investment will support a projected 2X growth versus 2023.
