Smartify is a visitor engagement platform that allows users to scan artworks with their phones to access detailed information, audio and video guides, and biographies. The app combines AI-powered personalization and AR/XR features to deliver enhanced audio-visual experiences. It aims to reduce the burden on arts and cultural institutions to build their own apps on minimal tech budgets. Smartify currently partners with over 700 organisations worldwide, including the National Gallery, the Acropolis Museum and the Tower of London. The company has raised £1.5M and plans to use the funding to invest in technological development and expand internationally through collaborations with new institutions. CEO Thanos Kokkiniotis described the funding as a vote of confidence as Smartify seeks to expand its reach and transform visitor experiences at more venues worldwide.
