SmartNanotubes Technologies
Dresdner Str. 172, Freital, Sachsen, 01705, Germany
Overview
SmartNanotubes Technologies develops micro‑power, multi‑channel gas detector chips that use carbon nanotube arrays and an "electronic nose" principle to detect multiple gases simultaneously. Its chips are designed to be highly sensitive, energy‑efficient, compact and low‑cost compared with current large, power‑hungry single‑gas sensors. The platform targets product‑quality applications across materials, food and medical markets as well as safety, security and air‑quality control in transport, consumer goods, manufacturing and cleanrooms. The company was founded in 2020 by Viktor Bezugly and Birte Sönnichsen and is based in Dresden. SmartNanotubes says its technology can identify volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and hazardous gases earlier than existing solutions. The startup recently closed financing to support product development and go‑to‑market efforts.
