Smartsy designs and deploys smart dog houses that provide temperature control and camera monitoring so pet owners can leave dogs safely at store entrances. The company has planned installations at multiple locations in Vienna and is working to roll out its solution more broadly in Austria through cooperation with retail chains including REWE Group and BILLA. Smartsy is being developed within the SEE UP accelerator under the Center for Digital Transformation of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce. Management frames the recent external investment as validation of the product’s potential to become a standard in pet-friendly retail infrastructure. The startup secured a €500,000 investment on the Austrian show 2 Minuten 2 Millionen with backing from investor Alexander Schütz. The company intends to use the funds to accelerate expansion into the German, Austrian and Swiss markets.
