Smileneo provides doctor-prescribed and clinic-delivered clear aligners by connecting patients with a network of partner dental clinics. Partner clinics use 3D intraoral scanners and X-rays, and the company offers a free online assessment to pre-screen candidates. Smileneo has developed an app for remote monitoring so patients can track progress and reduce clinic visits. Launched in 2019 by Dr. Jonathan Doerr, the startup currently operates in the UAE, KSA, Kuwait and Bahrain. It raised US$2 million in seed funding and plans to use the capital to hire top talent across MENA and expand into six new markets this year. Management says it will heavily invest in go-to-market strategies and technologies to make orthodontic care more convenient, affordable and patient-focused.
