Smooch provides the Smooch Conversation CloudSM, a unified messaging platform that lets companies use their existing business software and processes to converse with customers via messaging apps, SMS, websites and mobile apps. The platform integrates with popular consumer messaging channels including Facebook Messenger, LINE, WeChat, Kik, Telegram, Twilio and others. Led by CEO and co-founder Hamnett Hill, the company focuses on connecting consumer messaging channels with business software vendors. Smooch plans to use the new funding to expand support for additional consumer messaging channels and business software vendors and to grow its team. It is actively hiring for more than 20 positions across San Francisco and Montreal, including senior sales, product marketing and engineering roles. Financially, Smooch secured a C$10M seed financing to support these product and hiring initiatives.
