Snaapiq is a Washington D.C.-based platform that helps brands engage consumers through gamified visual contests. It offers iPhone and Android apps where consumers submit photos, earn Snaapcoins and receive rewards for in-app actions. Brands access real-time contest analytics, behavioral engagement trends, photo management and filtering, photo licensing and rewards distribution. Since beta launching in April the company works with dozens of brands including SoccerPro.com, Alex and Ani and Mommies 24/7 as well as major university athletic programs. The startup has 25,000 users, more than 100,000 photos uploaded and averages about 2,500 engagements daily. Snaapiq raised $180K in seed funding from several angel investors.
