Snackable uses natural language processing and machine learning to scan spoken content and surface specific mentions in a short, “snackable” format so users don’t have to listen to entire recordings. The platform is aimed at podcast, research, interview, and journalism audio where quick search and extraction of relevant bits is valuable. Snackable’s product remains in development and has run private pilots with leading U.S. media companies; new customers are slated to launch later this year. The company is headquartered in New York City while development work is concentrated in Estonia. Mari Joller, the Estonian-born founder, said the new funds will support market entry and expansion of the Estonian development team. Financially, Snackable announced a further $1.4 million seed funding round and has raised $2.3 million since its start in 2018.
