Overview
SnapE Cabs operates a fully electric taxi fleet, currently running about 1,112 EV cars that serve riders in Kolkata and the Delhi-NCR region. The company reports more than 1.2 million paying users, 1.3 million app downloads and 3.2 million completed rides, generating ₹120 crore in gross revenue. It became EBITDA-positive in January 2025, helped by operating costs that are 60–70% lower than internal-combustion cab operators and a customer-acquisition cost of only 0.8% of revenue while retaining 90% of riders. SnapE’s model couples its owned fleet with an exclusive network of charge-point operator partners, allowing it to maintain a healthy 3:1 demand-to-supply ratio. Strategic B2B alliances, such as a partnership with Rapido that has already placed 200 profitable EV cabs in Delhi and targets 5,000 cabs nationwide within two years, underpin its expansion strategy. Over the next 12 months the company plans to add another 1,000 vehicles, shifting to a supply-led infrastructure model that supports other demand aggregators. Founder and CEO Mayank Bindal, a former telecom executive with a finance master’s from the University of Glasgow, leads the venture.
