SnapBizz Cloudtech Pvt Ltd offers an Android-based, cloud-connected solution for mom-and-pop grocery stores that includes a tablet, barcode scanner, printer and an intelligent consumer-facing LED display. The company aims to close the last-mile connectivity gap between brands, consumers and traditional retailers while addressing kirana-store pain points, according to CEO Prem Kumar. Founded in 2013 by Prem Kumar and Yashwant Prakash, SnapBizz currently works with retail outlets in Mumbai, Pune, New Delhi, Bangalore and Hyderabad. The startup raised $7.2 million in its latest financing and will use the funds to expand across key cities in India. SnapBizz previously received $1.7 million in seed funding from Qualcomm, Jungle Ventures, the National Research Foundation of Singapore, Taurus Value Creation and Blume Ventures. Investors cited in the new round include Jungle Ventures, Taurus Value Creation, Konly Venture, Blume Ventures and other VC firms.
