SnapCar operates a chauffeur-driven ride platform similar to Chauffeur-Privé, LeCab and Uber. The company is shifting its focus to B2B corporate clients and already serves more than 200 corporate customers. It offers central billing and targets firms that currently subscribe to expensive taxi plans, positioning itself as a cheaper, more comfortable and efficient alternative. SnapCar monetizes by taking a cut on every ride. The €2M ($2.5M) funding from business angels is intended to improve service quality by recruiting drivers and winning corporate contracts. Management believes signing large firms with heavy travel needs could generate significant revenue. SnapCar competes both with other ride-hail startups and traditional taxi companies in Paris.
