1153 Mission St, San Francisco, CA, 94103, US
Overview
SnappyTV is a second-screen platform that lets viewers clip video from television shows and share snippets to Facebook and Twitter. Users can select any scene (up to 20 seconds) using a lightweight editing tool with arrows to fine-tune the moment. Shared clips can be viewed within Facebook or link back to SnappyTV or the content provider’s site. The company launched with TV content partners including Fox and Bravo and provides networks insight into the most compelling and shared areas of a show. SnappyTV offers an API that allows content providers to embed and white-label its clipping technology. The startup has raised $2 million in angel funding, and its founders previously built Jumpcut, which was sold to Yahoo in 2006.
