Snugg
The Bayes Centre, 47 Potterrow, Edinburgh, EH8 9BT, United Kingdom
Overview
Snugg is developing the Green Home Hub (GHH), a digital platform that integrates multiple data sources to assess suitable home energy-efficiency improvements and calculate costs and potential savings. The GHH will identify financing options and grant eligibility, enable end-to-end management of installations, and monitor energy and carbon reductions in real time. Snugg says the hub will be integrated with banks and energy providers so those organizations can offer retrofit services to their customers. Since Snugg’s launch in early 2023, the company has helped thousands of people begin their journey to more efficient homes. The company frames the GHH as part of a wider ambition to help the UK achieve net zero by 2050 and to scale retrofitting despite recent policy changes. Financially, Snugg has received government-backed funding to build and prototype the GHH.
