SOC.OS was born within the Futures team of BAE Systems Applied Intelligence as an internal innovation and venture incubation effort. Its core product continuously analyses, triages and prioritises alerts from threat protection and detection tools, escalating the most important incidents to IT security teams for further review. The company targets small, internal security teams overwhelmed by growing alert volumes and already counts early adopting customers including the UK Atomic Energy Authority and the University of Sussex. SOC.OS officially launched in June 2020 with Dave Mareels as CEO and benefited from participation in CyLon’s cohort 9 programme in 2019. The company raised funding to grow the business and scale customer adoption. The technology and go-to-market remain closely tied to its origins inside BAE Systems Applied Intelligence.
