Socket provides an interoperability protocol that enables asset and data transfers across chains for decentralized applications. It allows developers to build interoperability as a core part of protocol logic to create unified, multichain apps. Since launch Socket has facilitated over 2.5 million cross-chain transactions totaling more than $3.5 billion in volume across 15 chains. The protocol is being leveraged by applications and wallets expanding bridging to L2s, including Aevo, Zerion, Zapper, Rainbow Wallet, Synthetix, GMX, Instadapp, Sequence Wallet, Alongside, One Key, Layer3 and Slingshot. Socket intends to use the funds to expand its collaboration with Coinbase and to grow its suite of products. The company already works with Coinbase on products like Coinbase Wallet and on developer bridging to Coinbase’s L2, Base.
