Sofregen Medical is a Boston-based early-stage medical device company that has advanced soft tissue engineering with a platform based on silk protein (fibroin). Its lead product, Silk Voice, is a U.S. FDA-cleared silk protein treatment for vocal fold medialization and vocal fold insufficiency. Silk Voice is engineered to match the biomechanics of soft tissue to provide immediate bulking and long-term tissue replacement. The company intends to use new funding to accelerate development of its technology and to support commercialization and availability of Silk Voice. Sofregen is led by CEO Jonathan T.
