Softr

Rosenthaler Straße 13, Berlin, 10119, Germany

Overview

Softr provides a no-code platform that enables users to build web apps using Airtable as a backend. The company plans to expand support for additional data sources such as Google Sheets and other databases. It also intends to launch a marketplace for components and templates to extend functionality and provide out-of-the-box apps. Softr aims to evolve into an ecosystem around its product. The startup reports roughly 30,000 registered users and more than 1,000 paying customers. Its primary customers are small and mid-sized businesses, which the company says are well-suited to its value proposition. The product is relatively young in market but gaining traction as part of the broader no-code trend. Softr is a no-code platform that enables users to build websites and web apps directly from Airtable data. The product uses template-driven, pre-built building blocks (listings, user accounts, payments, etc.) and connects to services such as Stripe, PayPal, Mailchimp, Zapier, Integromat, Hotjar, Google Analytics, HubSpot and Drift. Out of the box it supports use cases including marketing sites, e-commerce stores, job boards, marketplaces, gated content and memberships, and the team plans to expand into internal tooling for SMBs (employee directories, product inventories, real estate listings). Founded in 2019 and operating out of Berlin, Softr was initially bootstrapped by CEO Mariam Hakobyan and CTO Artur Mkrtchyan. The company says it is currently used by “several thousands of makers and startups.” With new capital, Softr intends to grow its customer base among non-technical SMB functions and automate manual processes.
