Sola Security is a Cybersecurity AI assistant that enables teams and individuals to prompt their security stack and create security solutions in minutes. The platform uses generative AI to let users build custom security apps across identity and access management, cloud security, posture and configuration management, compliance, and more. Sola emphasizes reducing repetitive workload and enhancing decision support with baked-in security logic and reasoning, positioning itself as a context-aware copilot for security teams. In six months since emerging from stealth the company reports more than 2,000 users who have created over 1,000 custom security apps. The company says it will use new funding to advance its AI capabilities and speed adoption. To date Sola has raised $65M after a $35M Series A following a $30M seed round. Sola has built a low/no-code platform that enables organizations to design bespoke cybersecurity apps tailored to their workloads, pull data from different sources, and query existing security tools. The product includes a natural-language interface for setting goals or asking questions, ready-made apps in an app gallery (AWS Network Security, GitHub, Okta, Wiz, etc.), and built-in security tooling to replace certain functionality. The company is targeting organizations that do not have large security teams or extensive technical skills, aiming to democratize how security is approached. Sola leverages AI and big-data management to simplify complex security workflows and reduce cost compared with large commercial solutions. The startup emerged from stealth with $30 million in seed funding to accelerate product development and go-to-market. Sola has been around for about a year and was founded by Guy Fletcher (formerly of Cider Security) and Ron Peled (former CISO at LivePerson).
