Solaren is an energy and aerospace company headquartered in Manhattan Beach, California that researches, designs, develops, integrates and operates Space Solar Power (SSP) plants. Its core product is patented SSP plants intended to generate zero-emission electricity from space that the company says will be cost competitive with terrestrial baseload sources. Solaren says its development program will validate all aspects of its SSP plants in the coming decade. The company completed an initial close of its Series D financing in Q1 2023, raising $2.5 million. The securities sold were Solaren Preferred stock, convertible to common stock.
