Solarise reports deployments and an expanding project pipeline across Kenya, South Africa and Rwanda. Management says the financing model enables African SMEs to adopt clean energy quickly by addressing a critical financing barrier. Investors and partners cite successful deployments, pipeline development and demonstrated bankability during a short period, including resilience through the COVID-19 crisis. The company intends to use new capital to fund project deployments, grow market share in current countries of operation and support further expansion across Africa. Solarise leases solar and other energy assets and provides smart financing through a group of partners to commercial and industrial (C&I) customers. The company was founded by Patrik Huber, Jan Albert Valk, and Sakkie van Wijk and is based in Kenya. It has secured an undisclosed Series A to support scaling across Africa. Existing investor EAV has reinvested in the latest round alongside the European Union‑funded ElectriFI. Solarise previously raised a Series A in October 2018 led by EAV. Management emphasizes the role of sustainable solar solutions in lowering carbon footprints and expanding access to reliable, affordable energy for Africa’s businesses.
