Overview
Founded in 2020, Solivis develops sulfide-based solid electrolytes and claims about 150 patents related to its technology. It uses a "third-generation wet synthesis mass-production platform" that the company says achieves industry-leading ionic conductivity. Solivis is mass-producing solid electrolyte at an annual scale of 36 tonnes at its Hoengseong plant in Gangwon Province. The company has raised a total of 65.2 billion won since founding, including the recently completed 23 billion won Series C. Solivis intends to use the new funds to maximise mass-production competitiveness and expand production capacity as commercialisation of all-solid-state batteries approaches. The article notes a growing market opportunity, citing an expected increase in the global all-solid-state battery market from 210 billion won in 2023 to 1.2 trillion won in 2026.
